Chief Investigator Benno’s mom Resi is on vacation in Mallorca and runs into a friend from home, Hasi, the girlfriend of construction engineer Rambold. She is looking after one of Rambold’s projects on Mallorca.








Suddenly, the two women are kidnapped on a country road and taken to a hideout in the mountains. Hasi was the real target, and the kidnappers are now demanding that Rambold pay a ransom of € 1,000,000 for her to be freed.








Benno and Rambold decide to ignore the local police and send Benno’s charming colleague Nadine to the island. A former business partner of Rambold who lives on Mallorca and had recently and mysteriously lost his wife seems to be a hot trail.







The showdown leads Nadine – equipped with a cell phone and satellite images sent to her by Benno – into the mountains of Mallorca...










Back home, Benno investigates another crime: the politician Meidenbauer is shot. Because Meidenbauer had been fighting for the construction of a highway in Berlin, Benno at first believes an environmentalist was behind the assassination attempt…
