Helga is miserable. She is unhappy with her dreary apartment, with her husband Franz who only has time for his job as a district attorney, and especially, with the weird neighbors that populate the building they’ve just moved into. 
The strange Mr. Blaubach spends all his time in the basement building model ships; she suspects the two guys who hang out in the backyard all day are selling drugs, and then there is Cem, whom Helga, watching from her window, sees with a different girl every day!
When one day she sees him dragging a human-size object down into the cellar, she is sure it’s got to be a corpse!
But could such an adorable man have committed such a horrible crime? Together with the cleaning lady Fanny, Helga decides to investigate and uncover the truth herself. Her husband, who places no faith in her suspicions, has anyway no time. The first thing she does determine is that Cem is an excellent dancer…
And when she and Fanny do actually discover a dead woman’s body in the house, one thing does become clear: there definitely is a murderer in the house!
