The big day has finally come: Miriam and Daniel are getting married. One of the surprise guests at the celebration is Daniel’s old friend Stefan, who came with his wife Antonia and son Noah.
The joyous mood of the occasion abruptly turns to shock when Stefan collapses on the dance floor. The shattering diagnosis: heart failure. Daniel and Miriam cancel their honeymoon and do everything in their power to save the Stefan’s life.
In the meantime, Miriam`s half-sister Linda has slyly set into motion a plan that she hopes will make her the clinic’s chief physician.
Linda gets support from Mayor Rosner and the wealthy Rosi, who has disliked Miriam since their childhood days. Linda is also aware that Rosi has a severe health problem…
But then something happens that leaves the crew of the Alpine Clinic shocked: Miriam’s son Frederik has an accident on his kid’s motorbike and falls into a mountain stream.
He is pulled from the ice-cold water barely alive. Daniel knows that Frederik’s chances for survival are slim and that he cannot afford to make any mistakes…
