Gonger: Vengeance from the other Side

After 20 years, Phillip reluctantly returns home to sell his grandfather’s huge villa, which he has inherited.

After his parents died in an accident many years ago, his grandfather put him into the care of foster parents. Now, all of those painful childhood memories come flooding back.





Still, it is a chance for Phillip to see his old friends Helma, Eike, Martin and Pelle. Their reunion is disrupted by Helma’s disturbing dream. She sees a young boy that was murdered in the tidelands and who reveals Eike’s impending death.








According to a local legend the boy is a so-called 'Gonger”: Someone who has been killed in the tidelands and returns two generations later to plague the grandchildren of his murderers until the crime is finally solved.








When Helma tells of her dream and its meaning, her story is met with disbelief - until Eike is brutally murdered. Phillip wants to immediately leave the village, but then discovers that the legend might have also had something to do with his parents’ unexplained death...







The friends must quickly solve the generations-old mystery before another victim falls prey to the “Gonger”. Aided by Eike’s grandfather and Inspector Peterson, Phillip finally succeeds in reconstructing the circumstances of the crime.







When Philipp’s grandfather was just a kid, he and his playmates let their friend Eric drown in the tidelands and now, Eric seeks vengeance.

With the mystery appearing to be solved, they all believe the curse is banished. Helma, however, has some horrific news: Eric was not a “Gonger”; he was in fact a child of the devil and had viciously terrorized the entire village…
