Katja and her son Lasse live a carefree life on the beach where she works at the “Soul Club” café. Only one thing troubles her: Lasse believes his father is the American rock star Dylan, who supposedly had an affair with Katja 10 years ago.
But that is not true at all. Lasse’s real father is Nikolas, Katja's high school sweetheart and the owner of the 'Soul Club'. Because he disappeared before Lasse’s birth, Nikolas is completely unaware of his son’s existence.
Katja goes to every length to prevent Lasse from discovering the truth. But when Nicholas unexpectedly returns to his hometown, her lie proves difficult to maintain.
Having separated on bad terms, their old, unhealed wounds start to sting again and new arguments flare up. To make matters worse, Nick wants to sell the ”Soul Club”. Katja and Nick’s relationship hits an all-time low.
However, Lasse idolizes the cool surfer dude Nikolas and never leaves his side. He even manages to reunite the estranged couple.
Still, what appears to be a happy ending turns into a major chaos for Katja with the ill-timed arrival of two visitors: Alison, Nick's Australian fiancée, and Dylan…
