There’s almost no way to ruffle Alex’s feathers. For the cool lawyer success is everything. The champagne, the chic sports car, the constant company of beautiful women and his exotic penthouse – all are proof that he has reached his goal.







Sometimes the best of plans take a sharp detour. One morning, a caseworker from the Office of Youth Welfare startles Alex with unbelievable news – he is the father of an eight-month-old girl! Because the child’s mother died, she will be given up for adoption – unless Alex is willing to accept legal responsibility himself.





Although a sworn bachelor with no patience for children, Alex’s first look into the dark eyes of his unexpected daughter opens his heart.










From that point on, the welfare of little Fanny becomes the new priority in Alex’s life, which is far from compatible with the jet-set lifestyle of a prestigious lawyer.










He gets fired and is forced to accept a job at a small law firm run by Barbara and her daughter Sophie, who represent everyday people with no means. For Alex, it is hard work. He misses the glamour and status of his previous job.








Alex now has Fanny, but the huge sacrifice has become a major challenge. Even when he gets a nanny for his daughter, the situation changes little. He must now be a responsible father who, as well as facing the question of whether or not pizza makes good baby food, must earn enough money to make ends meet. With time, Alex does get over the culture shock and returns to top form – with a little help from the attractive Sophie...
