The Comedy Whisperer

“The Comedy Whisperer” is an improvisational comedy show with a difference – and that difference is the prominent celebrities who take part! At the beginning of each episode, the host greets two high-profile celebrities, who must then act as “lures” to draw unsuspecting people into unlikely and hilarious situations.





What makes the show so entertaining is that both celebrities are given the same wacky assignment and are wired with microphones, through which they receive whispered, off-the-wall instructions from the host on how to proceed with their task. The result? Their already comical assignment gets wackier with every whisper!





In the studio, the madcap attempts of the celebrities to trick innocent “victims” are shown on a big screen and accompanied by commentary, close analysis, discussion and a final evaluation by the audience.








The celebrities are dressed in clothing “appropriate” for their assignments, which could be anything from playing a dental technician, a real estate agent, a fitness trainer or someone from any other poor unsuspecting profession.








Although the celebrities find themselves in the same initial situation at the start of the episode, the kooky commands whispered from the host send them off into utterly wild, unexpected and completely different directions. Maintaining their disguises at the “scene of the crime” is difficult enough, but when “The Comedy Whisperer” starts with his absurd instructions, their challenge is intensified….and so is the audience’s entertainment!

With help from split-screens and slow-motion footage, the audience is shown highlights of the celebrities’ screwy exploits, which are then closely examined and discussed… all in good humor, of course! The host takes advantage of petty rivalries or minor altercations between the two celebrity “decoys” in an attempt to trip them up– but which star will win the audience’s sympathy? At the end of each episode, it’s the audience that must decide which celebrity delivered the funniest performance and should be crowned the winner.
