Are you ready to take the plunge and move together with your partner? Are you filled with dread at the thought of having to compromise when it comes to your taste in furniture and decorating?
Real Life | Format
The eye opening show “Moving In” offers new, interesting perspectives designed to reduce the stress. Any couple that plans on sharing an apartment or house, regardless of how different their style, can participate.

They could be newlyweds, long-established relationships or a pair freshly in love… the problem is always the same – how to find a happy medium when it comes to decorating the new nest. Perhaps he’s got incredibly expensive tastes, while she’s more used to bargain hunting at garage sales. Maybe she likes the color pink, while that particular color would drive him up a wall.
The host of the show visits the previous house or apartment of each of the participants and evaluates the décor, arriving at a rapid decision as to what stays… and what goes. His quick assessment ends with an application of either a red or green sticker. The furniture and accessories from both participants that succeed in winning the host’s approval will then form the basis of the new house’s décor.
Then it’s the stylist's turn: It’s their job to get together with the friends and families of the couple to inspect each house to determine exactly what their individual styles are. With this precious and critical information in hand, the stylist now designs the new interior with a sharp eye focused on making the all-important compromise.
Up to this point, we know nothing of the participants outside of their preferences for decorating. Now, however, while their friends and families are hard at work getting the new house ready, we learn from the couple themselves about their personal lives, how they met, what dreams they share and whatever other interesting stories they wish to tell.
Naturally, the friends and families of the couple also have their own stories to relate. Then finally, the job of decorating is complete. Here comes the show’s climax, when we see the couple’s reaction as they enter their new home for the very first time…
