“Galileo Big Pictures” tells the special stories that are hidden behind the pictures – accounts that are detailed, gripping and absolutely intriguing. 
“Galileo Big Pictures” tells the whole story behind familiar photographs for the very first time – such as the shot of the two Burmese fishermen who saved themselves by taking refuge in a cool-box when their ship sank… and stayed alive in shark-infested waters for 25 days. However, extraordinary and less well-known photographs also have a place in this show. All photographs have fascinated observers, triggered emotions and prompted questions.
A unique virtual high-tech studio designed especially for this show makes it possible for the presenter to slips inside the photographs himself: the presenter is on board of the Titanic, stumbles over Abraham Lincoln's nose or strides across the moon dressed as an astronaut.
